He moved eventually to a shady spot on the tree- something he referred to as a "faerie's saddle". I thought it was to avoid the direct sunlight, but he was eventually quite plainly in the sun again.
Of the things he told me, I can only now vaguely recall, though I could have sworn I wrote them down then and there. Sometimes details of our conversation come back to me in dreams. Or they seem almost to return to me during the day, lying just beneath my waking mind, like a glimpse of something caught out of the corner of my eye, but as I turn to look, it's gone.
