Gourd Lord- Neb, brother to Zeb and Blodden Qwick2

Here is one of several of my latest pieces in my Gourd Lord series- this made it's premier at this year's Ghoultide Gathering in Chelsea Michigan this past weekend. It's great little Halloween art show and bazaar and I had the honor of being part of it finally. These were some of what I offered there and most of what I've been working on for the past several months.

This was my first year being part of this lovely little/big Halloween art show and bazaar.

I use REAL gourds for these pieces which I dry myself and seal and then sculpt the faces upon directly. The figures are pose-able and made from a variety of materials both re-purposed and new remnant materials which I sew by hand. They are all hand painted in layers of acrylic washes back to each gourds original scheme as I can.
